Brand
The name is inspired by the self-cleaning phenomenon of the lotus. The only plant to flower and fruit simultaneously, at dawn it emerges from the muddy bottom of ponds and streams to stretch open at the water’s surface. As the sun sets, it closes and sinks underwater to repeat this cycle each day. The symbolic origin of its properties is traced back millennia, inspiring the Bhagavad Gita, Chinese poetry, and Buddhist philosophy; in Ancient Egyptian mythology it was the symbol of the sun, creation, and rebirth. |
